Clark Ashton Smith - poet, writer, artist. Friend of Lovecraft and Howard. His dark and sophisticated imagination created strange worlds, simultaneously filled with horror and attractiveness. From 1929 to 1937, Smith created hundreds of stories and short stories. Almost all of the works that made Smith a cult author were created during these eight years. The main platform for publication remained the magazine Weird Tales, for which Smith became one of the key authors, along with H. P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard.
