Mykola Kryshchuk’s book consists of two sections. The first is the story “Go there - I don’t know where” - a story about first love. Love, the first pang of which, scary to say, the characters felt in childhood, continues for many years. Here we are talking more about the adventures of feelings than about the evil role of circumstances. The second section contains essays and memoirs. An essay about Nikolai Punin and Lydia Ginzburg, memories of the literary life of the 70s and the first decade of the current century. The reader will get acquainted with the literary life of the era and its characters: from Alexander Volodin, Sergei Dovlatov, Viktor Konetsky to the literary functionaries of the publishing house "Children's Literature", the Leningrad Writers' Union, the magazines "Neva" and "Aurora", about the revival and death in the early 90s magazine "Leningrad", the editor-in-chief of which was the author of the book.
