Автор вміло поєднує елементи трилера та драми, створюючи напружену атмосферу, яка не відпускає до останньої сторінки. Снайпер Віктор Крапівін, який змушений боротися з корупцією та бездарністю вищого командування, стає символом боротьби за справедливість. Його внутрішні переживання та моральні дилеми змушують задуматися про ціну помсти і про те, як далеко готовий зайти людина заради своїх принципів. Сюжет насичений несподіваними поворотами, а персонажі прописані настільки детально, що їхні переживання стають близькими і зрозумілими.
