Книга "Загадай число" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям у світі детективної літератури. Джон Вердон майстерно створює напружену атмосферу, де кожна загадка стає не лише випробуванням для детектива, але й для читача. Історія про Марка Меллері, який отримує анонімний лист, сповнений загроз і загадок, захоплює з перших рядків. Персонажі, особливо детектив Девід Гурні, прописані настільки живо, що неможливо не співпереживати їм у їхніх пошуках правди. Сюжет настільки динамічний, що я не міг відірватися від книги, а кожна нова загадка ставила нові питання і тримала в напрузі. Хоча переклад іноді має незначні недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися чудовою історією. Рекомендую всім любителям трилерів і детективів!
