Hans Christian Andersen, famous all over the world as a brilliant storyteller, is much less known for his works in other genres, but he has written novels, plays, poems, and travel notes. The novel “Just a Violinist” is largely autobiographical; in Christian, a gifted young man from a poor family, it is easy to recognize the features of Andersen himself, although the hero was less fortunate than his creator: he failed to become famous and died as a rural violinist. The novel was published in Russian only in retelling and almost 100 years ago.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
