Книга "Розправляючи крила" вражає своєю глибиною і емоційною напругою. Автор майстерно передає гіркоту втрат і жагу помсти, що робить історію надзвичайно захопливою. Персонажі, зокрема пілоти останнього зоряного флоту, вражають своєю відвагою та рішучістю, адже вони готові йти на все заради порятунку людства. Сюжет наповнений динамічними битвами, які тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Хоча деякі моменти перекладу можуть бути не зовсім точними, це не заважає загальному сприйняттю книги.
