Сюжет розвивається динамічно, і читач відчуває напругу, намагаючись разом з героями розгадати таємницю зникнення. Взаємини між Жанною та Аполлоном Полонським додають романтичного забарвлення, а їхні емоції та переживання роблять їх живими та реалістичними.
