Difficult times have come for stalkers. After the conclusion of a number of international agreements, the Perimeter is completely closed, the military regularly protects the surrounding territory, which virtually makes contact with the Zone impossible. One of the idle stalkers, Ghoul, is hired by a visiting professor - the inventor of a unique and very useful device - who has an order from high-ranking patrons who can illegally open a passage to the Zone.
