I used to not believe in fairy tales, especially fairy tales. But the day they came into my life, that changed. I wanted to stay away from my hometown on the lake, but my mother suddenly died. Dad said she had a stroke after she dug up an ancient Indian grave in our backyard. Creepy. I know. And even more creepy, there was no body in the old coffin, only fresh pink petals. While we were preparing for her funeral, incredibly strange and beautiful strangers appeared in our small town. A forensic scientist with emerald eyes, too young for his job. A self-righteous socialite who made it his life's mission to piss me off. And a tattooed Indian who shouldn't be alive.
