The author of the book, Italian Stefano Medvedich, studied Russian language and literature at the university and worked as a French teacher at school. During school holidays, he made long journeys and rode a Vespa scooter all over Russia from the western borders to Vladivostok. He became famous in his own country for describing how he rode a scooter across northern Africa from Mauritania to western Sahara. In the new book, the author describes dangerous adventures during a new, very risky journey from Western Sahara through 15 countries. The strength of spirit, the passion of a traveler and friendliness helped Stefano to overcome with honor all the difficulties and trials that befell on his extraordinary route.
