Автор майстерно передає атмосферу страху та небезпеки, але водночас показує, як любов і надія можуть стати потужними рушійними силами навіть у найтемніші часи. Сюжет наповнений емоціями, а персонажі прописані настільки глибоко, що їхні страждання відчуваються як власні. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які можуть бути помітні, це не зменшує загального враження від книги.
