Twenty-four-year-old Englishwoman Jenna receives news from France that her father is dying. Jenna considers her father, an artist who left her mother for another woman sixteen years ago, to be the culprit of the family tragedy that poisoned her childhood. Arriving in France, Jenna does not find her father alive, but meets his wife and her half-brother Alain, for whom she begins to experience a very contradictory feeling, similar either to hatred or to love. Healing from the past, Jenna faces the threat of the collapse of the present.
