This textbook is a continuation of the course “History of Foreign Literature”, studied in higher educational institutions of the humanities in accordance with Federal educational standards and educational programs. In addition, for the most part, the material in the textbook also corresponds to the standardized principles of the Literature course. The textbook covers the main stages of the life and work of outstanding writers of the world, focusing on artistic features and skill. The textbook makes an attempt to cover the most striking works of the Nobelists. The textbook is written in accessible language. The material is arranged in connection with the chronology of events associated with the awarding of the Nobel Prize in Literature. In addition, the book contains excerpts from the works and speeches of the Nobel Prize winners. One of the most important parts of the book is a list of references, a list of literary texts, and questions for self-preparation for exams and tests. "World Literature: Nobel Laureates (1957-1980).
