Gagik Nazloyan’s monograph represents the first systematic presentation of the portrait method of psychotherapy, proposed by the author more than 20 years ago and which has become one of the most interesting and original concepts of modern psychotherapy. The portrait method of psychotherapy, as well as “daughter” methods (therapeutic self-portrait, body art therapy, etc.) are considered by the author in the broad context of modern scientific and clinical views. Such phenomena of psychotherapeutic influence as self-identification, catharsis, etc. are analyzed in detail. The book is intended for psychiatrists, psychologists and other specialists in the humanities.
