L. Sprague de Camp once again strikes our imagination with a story about the struggle of mortals with the gods. The gods of ancient Pusad are plotting to destroy the kingdom of Lorsk, located on the continent of Poseidonis. The king of Lorsk, having learned about the threat, sends his son Vaqar in search of an artifact that can save the country. The deities fear the Ring of Triton, as it reflects magic and protects against the gods. Vaqar does not see the gods in his dreams, he is the only person whose actions they cannot predict. And so the search begins for a ring made of metal that fell from the stars. There will be many obstacles and temptations on the hero's path...
