Ця книга стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Автор, Роган, майстерно досліджує складну та багатогранну історію арабського світу, починаючи з османських завоювань і закінчуючи сучасними викликами, з якими стикаються арабські країни. Я був вражений тим, як детально описані різні аспекти арабської ідентичності, боротьби за національний суверенітет та впливу європейського імперіалізму. Книга не лише інформативна, але й захоплююча, адже автор вміло поєднує факти з аналітикою, що дозволяє читачеві зрозуміти глибокі корені сучасних проблем у регіоні. Хоча в перекладі іноді трапляються неточності, це не заважає загальному сприйняттю тексту. Я б рекомендував цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться історією, політикою та культурою арабського світу, адже вона відкриває нові горизонти для розуміння цього важливого регіону.
