But Ota, a noble young man from the city of Saraiket, does not want power over the Andats, nor the lot of a poet, nor the power of a politician. He dreams of freedom and prosperity, which only merchants and sailors can have in this world... However, fate does not ask whether the one chosen by it wants to live up to its destiny. And soon Ota and his best friends - the poets Maati and Semai - find themselves involved in a deadly a conspiracy whose goal is to destroy the rightful ruler of Saraiket and install in his place an intelligent, strong and predatory woman, ready to do anything for the sake of the desired goal...
