This book is not for theology teachers (although many of them will probably read it). It is written for students—and not only for them, but for every Christian who seeks to gain a deeper understanding of the basic doctrines of the Bible. The author tried to make it accessible even to those Christians who had never studied theology before. At the end of the chapters there is a list of references to help those who want to further study a particular topic, and at the end of the book there is an extensive bibliography. The book is also equipped with a thematic index and a dictionary where the most difficult terms are explained.
