The book by Eduard Fedorovich Makarevich talks about the intimate sphere of life of Soviet people, which for many years was not made public. Contrary to the well-known statement that there is no sex in the Soviet Union, the author proves the opposite: the sexual life of a Soviet person was no less intense than in the West. The USSR had its own sex symbols, such as Valentina Serova, Zoya Fedorova, Lidia Smirnova, and its own “sex bombs” – Lilya Brik, Zinaida Reich and others, who had a significant influence on the country’s politics and its leaders.
