The book is the result of many years of work by the author to study the iconography of A.S. family members. Pushkin, his immediate circle, as well as personal and memorable things of the poet. It introduces readers to the history of the creation of unique portraits of Pushkin’s father and mother, his sister and brother, his four children and his wife. The book tells the sometimes very complex history of the existence of Pushkin’s personal and memorable things, and traces their connection with the poet’s work. Many portraits and personal belongings of Pushkin (as well as his family) are presented in the exhibitions of the All-Union Museum of A.S. Pushkin, in the poet’s last apartment on Moika, 12. Some of these portraits and things are kept in the museum’s funds.
