Автор, як всесвітньо відомий письменник і філософ, вміло поєднує публіцистичний стиль з глибокими філософськими роздумами, що робить текст доступним для широкого кола читачів. Зінов'єв детально розглядає причини краху радянського комунізму та наслідки західної експансії, що дозволяє зрозуміти, чому Росія опинилася на роздоріжжі. Його аналітичний підхід до посткомуністичної соціальної організації та глобалізації вражає своєю об'єктивністю та глибиною. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, загальна якість тексту залишається високою, а ідеї, які він висловлює, спонукають до роздумів і дискусій.
