The feuilleton was published in the magazine “Capital”, 1992. No. 7. P.54-55
As Gazizova later claimed, the reason for its publication was the reduction in funding by Metropolitan Pitirim for the newspaper “Moscow Church Bulletin”. The author also hints at the privatization of works of art from the “Soviet Cultural Fund”: ... it was not only about the statuette of Hercules (as well as many other rare works of art that mysteriously migrated from the Soviet Cultural Fund to the metropolitan office) and about the salary increased to the lackey and idiot Belavenets . Not at all. The point was that "MCV", which, through the combined efforts (including my efforts, I will not hide) became a very decent (and especially in the absence of fish - at that time) church newspaper, and not a pathetic booklet on the topic " Metropolitan Pitirim met with a cardinal from the Vatican,” and for some reason began to be strangled by none other than the bishop himself. Why? This mystery is great. Neither the Soviets, nor the KGB, NO ONE pressed; the newspaper constantly increased its circulation (and mainly thanks to Gazizova’s publications, let’s not be modest, it’s been a while, huh?), income grew, but... bam! “That’s why the bishop suddenly stopped funding it for some reason.” In particular, he left the salaries of employees (ALL of them, not just me, of course) at a level below the baseboard - after Pavlovsk and other reforms.
