Two of the writer’s stories from the series of “first-person stories” have already been published in No. 4 last year. New ones also made up a couple. The main characters of the stories “A Sharp Sense of Saturday” and “How to Patch Black Holes” crossed paths only by chance and will remain strangers to each other. And yet there is some kind of “karmic” affinity between a loser reporter and a madman who sits on the subway to finish writing his messages to the “international world Internet” on a keyboard with a dangling wire. Humiliated and insulted, becoming heroes of jokes written down by no one, they survive with the inner strength of the soul, which, it turns out, still knows how to hope. “The feeling of Saturday” is the designation of this paradoxical hope for a miracle: it in itself is so saving that it doesn’t matter when the promised Saturday finally comes.
