Роман "Синдикат" - це справжня знахідка для любителів детективного жанру та історії. Автор, Макс Аллан Коллінз, майстерно відтворює атмосферу Чикаго 30-х років, де мафія панує на вулицях, а детективи ведуть безкомпромісну боротьбу з криміналом. Сюжет розвивається динамічно, з безліччю несподіваних поворотів, що тримають читача в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Персонажі, особливо детектив Натан Геллер, прописані дуже детально, і їхні стосунки з колегами та ворогами додають глибини історії. Хоча переклад тексту місцями може бути не зовсім ідеальним, це не заважає насолоджуватися захоплюючим сюжетом та стилем письма автора. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує якісні детективи з історичним контекстом!
