Автор майстерно передає емоції, які виникають у Теда, коли він стикається з можливістю втрати свого найкращого друга. Подорож, яку вони проходять разом, не лише фізична, а й емоційна, і вона змушує читача задуматися про важливість кожного моменту, проведеного з тими, кого ми любимо.
