The novel “The Favorite” is a multifaceted work in which a huge layer of historical reality is raised and a broad canvas of the life of Russia in the second half of the 18th century is given. The author depicts the era through the prism of the actions of the main character - His Serene Highness Prince Grigory Alexandrovich Potemkin-Tavrichesky, the favorite of Catherine II; a complex man, contradictory in many ways, but certainly talented and intelligent, who decisively intervened in state affairs and saw his duty in serving Russia.

Роман "Фаворит" став для мене справжнім відкриттям. Автор майстерно передає атмосферу другої половини XVIII століття, занурюючи читача в епоху, коли Росія переживала значні зміни. Григорій Потьомкін постає перед нами не лише як лідер, але й як складна особистість, що має свої слабкості та суперечності. Його рішучість і відданість державі вражають, а опис його взаємин з Катериною II додає глибини сюжету. Незважаючи на те, що текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, загалом якість перекладу на високому рівні, хоча іноді трапляються незначні недоліки. Цей роман не лише розширює знання про історію, але й спонукає до роздумів про лідерство, відповідальність та моральні цінності. Рекомендую всім, хто цікавиться історією та літературою!
