The science fiction duology of the American science fiction writer Poul Anderson, perhaps, cannot be unambiguously attributed to one genre or another, it doesn’t work out - it’s too tight. At first it seems like something to talk about: real “cool” science fiction, a fast-paced, dynamic plot, adventures, a superhero, monsters from distant planets... But you turn the page and you are convinced that everything is much deeper, stranger, as if in real life. And you are not only afraid, winning, cunning, but reflecting, analyzing, empathizing. Poul Anderson’s stories should find many readers, and perhaps fans; in our opinion, they are interesting both to those who are “cool” in today’s life and to those who continues to search for his own, the only truth.
