Історія Софії та Едмунда, їхнє кохання та трагічні обставини, що призвели до розлуки, викликають глибокі емоції. Читач відчуває напругу, коли розкриваються таємниці, які могли б змінити життя багатьох. Хоча переклад має деякі недоліки, загальна якість тексту залишається високою, а сюжет настільки захоплюючий, що ці недоліки не заважають насолоджуватися читанням.
