The hero in this work is dark. Not just cruel, or feignedly dark - no, the hero is dark in the sense that he is ready to do anything for his own benefit. Sacrifices, mind capture, murder, etc. in general, there are a lot of things on his list of “good” deeds. Oh, the hero is also a magician with very great potential (by local standards). Well, all this is due to the fact that he is a “descendant” of a representative of another race that once tried to take over this world. But something, as always, went wrong, and as a result the invaders had to return back. Peace. Well, so far the universe is pretty well written. And of course, since the book belongs to the “Dark Fantasy” genre, you can understand that this world is also quite cruel. Perhaps I’ll just say that the first half of the book is the development of the hero, the second is a journey to discover the legacy of an ancient magician, with the help of which you can open a passage for those same alien invaders. For what? He just has no choice, because otherwise, the hero will not only be killed, but he will be tortured for centuries. Characters. Well, I don’t know what to write about the characters. I’ll probably only write that the characters look realistic, although I had comments a couple of times. This is just my opinion, read the book, make up your own!
