Книга "Елізабет Костелло" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Автор створив унікальний образ вигаданої австралійської письменниці, яка, незважаючи на свою вигаданість, виявляється надзвичайно реалістичною у своїх переживаннях і роздумах. Текст пронизаний глибокими філософськими питаннями, які змушують задуматися про сенс життя, місію людини та складнощі, з якими стикається кожен з нас. Елізабет, як персонаж, вражає своєю відвертістю та сміливістю, адже вона не боїться ставити під сумнів власні вчинки та рішення. Дискусії про літературу, мистецтво, славу та ревнощі настільки захоплюючі, що часом забуваєш, що це вигадка. Єдине, що трохи зіпсувало враження - це деякі недоліки перекладу, які іноді відволікали від сюжету. Проте, загалом, ця книга залишила глибокий слід у моїй душі, і я рекомендую її всім, хто шукає щось більше, ніж просто розвагу. Це справжній маніфест чесності, який варто прочитати!
