The book is dedicated to a comprehensive study of one of the most dramatic problems of humanity - the phenomenon of suicide. Considering the historical, legal, religious, ethical, philosophical and other aspects of the “worst of sins”, the book pays special attention to the fate of suicide writers - not only because writers are classified as a so-called “high suicidal risk group”, but also because that homo scribens is the most striking and convenient for study bearer of the species traits of homo sapiens. The last part of the book, “Encyclopedia of Literary Cide,” contains more than 350 biographical information about writers who voluntarily passed away.
