The book is based on a seemingly banal plot - an exchange of professors from American and British universities. Usually everything goes smoothly and routinely. However, this time two antipodes are involved in the exchange, and events take place on opposite shores of the Atlantic that spin everyone into their whirlpool - students, colleagues and even wives. Without letting the reader get bored on any page, the author leads him to the ending, which seems to surprise him too.
