Автор майстерно створює атмосферу напруження та загадковості, коли Матвій повертається у свій рідний світ, і читач разом з ним переживає всі його страхи та сподівання. Випробування, які чекають на героя, не лише фізичні, але й моральні, що робить цю книгу ще більш захоплюючою. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно впливають на сприйняття тексту, я все ж вважаю, що "Каракал" вартий уваги.
