Автор глибоко занурюється в історію та міфологію різних культур, розкриваючи таємниці, які, на перший погляд, здаються абсолютно незв'язними. Темпл вміло поєднує давні знання про зіркову систему Сіріуса з історичними фактами, що робить його аргументацію надзвичайно переконливою. Читання цієї книги не лише захоплює, але й спонукає до роздумів про можливість існування життя на інших планетах та впливу інопланетян на розвиток людської цивілізації.
