Автор майстерно створює атмосферу напруженості та загадковості, змушуючи читача з нетерпінням слідкувати за розвитком подій. Керол Седдон, яка спочатку не має особливого інтересу до Леонарда Маллетта, стає справжнім детективом, розкриваючи таємниці, які ховаються за фасадом звичайного життя. Взаємодія між персонажами, їхні емоції та конфлікти додають глибини сюжету, а несподівані повороти тримають у напрузі до самого кінця. Особливо сподобалося, як автор показав, що навіть у звичайному хорі можуть ховатися темні таємниці. Це чудове читання для всіх, хто любить детективи з елементами психології та соціальної драми.
