In Vasily Aksenov’s novel “Caesarean Glow,” the action—sometimes quite realistic, sometimes utterly fantastic—is rapidly transferred from present-day Russia to America, to the Cuckoo Islands, fictional by the author, to Europe, again to Russia and America.
