Once upon a time, our world became a battlefield for incomprehensible creatures. People called them gods. Gigantic, higher than any mountains, they fought with swords and magic. Some gods, the Destroyers, wanted to destroy our world, but others protected it. The losers created the Gate and fled to the Wrong Side of the World, where they belonged. To them and to the creatures that the poisonous blood of the gods gave birth to when it spilled onto the earth. I am not a pathetic werewolf, as one might think. Not at all. My power is akin to divine. People like me can open the doors to the Upside Down to throw out the spawn of the Endbringers. Only I am different from everyone else. Because I have strength. It was only thanks to her that I, having once fallen into the Upside Down, was able to survive there and return. Now I am in a squad of monster hunters and will never allow anyone to repeat my feat.
