Alice has already entered third grade. She decided to mark the beginning of the holidays with an experiment to find out how intelligent the dolphins with whom she has been friends for a long time are. Having failed with the dolphins, Alice does not lose heart: she meets a movie robot - the grandfather of “Head and Run” and goes to the Black Sea for filming. And this is where the adventures begin - Alice and the movie-robot grandfather find themselves kidnapped by a combat robot - dreaming of power over the world...

Note: There are two versions of the story. The first version was published under the title "The Island of the Rusty Lieutenant" (1968 onwards) and the second version "The Rusty Field Marshal" (1991 onwards), which was also published under the title "The Island of the Rusty General" (1994). The second version includes as the first chapter the story “News of the Future Century,” which was previously published separately and simultaneously with the second version (1988 onwards). The first and second versions of the story were always published without significant changes.
