A witty, brilliantly written book by a contemporary Czech writer living in France, a stylistic experiment in the spirit of the absurd and burlesque. The 20th century in it is a rhetorical figure and fiction, a merciless mix of absurd slogans, ridiculous beliefs and stereotypes. In 2001, “Europeana” was recognized as “Book of the Year” in the Czech Republic. Translated into twenty languages.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
