The textbook can serve as an introduction to the specialty for students who have chosen landscape planning as their main profession. In addition, it provides an opportunity for students of other specializations, for example, landscape architects and designers, urban planners, land surveyors, foresters, to gain an understanding of the basics of landscape planning, which are useful to know for all specialists involved in the field of territorial planning. The book describes the general principles and methods of landscape planning planning, its brief history, connections with other branches of territorial planning and the specifics of its use in solving various practical problems. The presentation is based on a generalization of European (mainly German) and Russian experience, as well as courses of lectures given to students of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University and some other Russian higher educational institutions. The manual is equipped with tasks for independent work of students and test questions for the course. The list of recommended literature for studying contains specialized and general educational works both in Russian and in foreign languages.
