The New Wild is an artistic movement that emerged in Germany in the last quarter of the twentieth century. The “New Wild Ones” considered their ultimate goal to be the renewal of artistic vision through aesthetic shock. Wild hunting, according to a widespread myth, considered its most important task to be the renewal of the world as a whole, but also through aesthetic shock. How else can we explain their manner of unceremoniously invading the world of the living in the form of a cavalcade of terrifying ghosts, a meeting with which few could survive. The author of this book also considers his most important task to be the renewal of the world, or, at worst, the artistic vision, although he realizes that compared to Kiefer, Baselitz and Odin, his chances are so-so.
