The book by the English scientist M. Я був вражений тим, як Барбер вдало відтворює атмосферу епохи, описуючи не лише факти, але й емоції, які супроводжували ці події. Книга відкриває нові перспективи на причини знищення ордена, показуючи, що за цими подіями стояли не лише релігійні, але й політичні інтереси. Хоча переклад тексту має деякі недоліки, загальна якість видання не зменшує цінності цього дослідження.
