“The Book of Complaints” is one of Kapor’s last books. He is all in it: caustic and lyrical, mocking and vulnerable; here are all his main themes: personality and system, East - West, love - dislike. Much in this book is very close to the Russian reader, recognizable, painfully familiar both from our recent past and from today. We understand the problems and troubles of the main character - Peja Lukacs, a freethinker, a bookseller by vocation! He creates a kind of intellectual club in Belgrade from a bookstore and incurs the wrath of the powers that be.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
