Olga Togoeva is a specialist in the history of medieval France, Doctor of Historical Sciences, chief researcher at the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In the book “The True Truth.” Languages of Medieval Justice”, based on the archives of the Paris Parliament, the Chatelet royal prison, church and seigneurial courts, explores the problem of the relationship between the judiciary and ordinary people in France in the late Middle Ages.
