Charles was the youngest son of Lady Margaret Douglas (Katherine Howard plot) and Elizabeth was the daughter of Bess Hardwicke (Elizabeth Tudor plot). It was through Lady Margaret Douglas that Arbella received her royal blood and her rights to the English throne. She is an unknown historical figure to most people, however, if things had gone differently, Arbella could have become queen after Elizabeth I.
