The classic of Russian literature Vasily Ivanovich Belov (1932–2012) left to his descendants not only great epoch-making works, but also a large epistolary heritage. This book consists of letters from the writer addressed to the famous politician and public figure, environmentalist writer A. N. Greshnevikov, with whom he was friends for many years. Since each letter is a valuable source of information about the daily life, creative and spiritual searches of V.I. Belov, the author gives his own commentary to it in order to recreate the atmosphere of the years the writer lived and the history of his meetings and relationships with many different people.
