Residents of a regional village are frightened by news that appeared on social networks about a maniac walking the streets at night with a knife. Suspicion falls on the young family due to the unusual behavior of a friend who came to them, but the police are inactive, citing a lack of reliable facts. Then a self-proclaimed people's activist gets down to business. Having announced a special operation to capture the maniac, he and other activists arrange surveillance of the family, watch at their entrance at night, and in every possible way contribute to their eviction from the village, turning the rest of the residents against them. In the struggle for truth, the head of the family, a young guy, faces an incredibly difficult choice: leave his native village or take on himself and his family heavy moral and physical damage from the whole situation and its activists. But the Truth, walking around and around, leaves an ambiguous question hanging in the air: Who really is the real maniac in this whole story?..
