A play about the reign and personality of Emperor Leo I the Great, who ruled the Eastern Roman Empire in 457-474 - in a difficult time, when enemies were pressing on the borders of the Empire from all sides, and the Western Empire had already fallen under the blows of the barbarians. Leo saved the Empire, no matter how hard it was for him. His path was thorny. In the play, he is shown both as an emperor who made the most important decisions on which the further course of history and the existence of the Empire really depended, and as a man - a loving husband, a loving father, a loving grandfather - who found himself even within his family surrounded by various difficulties.
