More than 40 years ago, Al'Terra was struck by Bad Weather - a huge piece of the continent was simply cut off from the rest of the world in an instant. No one comes out from there, and those who tried to get to the other side never came back. The invisible threshold was nicknamed the Border, and the lands on it - the Lost. Now in one town near the Border itself there are problems again - someone is kidnapping and brutally killing local residents. Senior investigator and blood mage Flynn Rubis takes up the case, but he himself does not expect how far the traces of an unknown killer will take him. Kian Forastin, the disgraced son of the Grand Duke of Al'Terra, is exiled to serve in a godforsaken seaside city. Locals here tell stories about terrible underwater creatures, and when a frightened lighthouse keeper sails into the port, Keanu has to find out whether these stories are true or not. Meanwhile, the capital is also worried: they are trying to kill the Grand Duke, and the ancient cult of the Exiled God is again raising its head. But soon things will get even worse, because the Border begins to shift.
