Zane Obispo spends every day exploring the dormant volcano in his backyard. “The Beast,” as the boy calls him, is the only place where he can hide from strangers. His classmates in New Mexico are not known for their kindness, constantly coming up with offensive nicknames, because he is not like everyone else.
